David: “These days I find great satisfaction in helping others succeed. Helping to create a culture of success, means that the university thrives, which in turn benefits everyone involved. At Deakin, we pride ourselves on ranking highly in teaching and research, a balance that eludes most large universities. Personally, I also derive great satisfaction in watching my children succeed in life. I think we all constantly struggle to get the balance right between personal and work success. Experiencing life through my children’s achievements and trying to maintain a work-life balance keeps me grounded and motivated.”
